What is Krav Maga Bag Class?

Okay so those of you who know me know that I teach and work at Krav Maga Worldwide.  KMW is
basically my 2nd family!  I've been working there for the past 12 years and I will probably continue being there FOREVER!!!   This place is THAT great!  The staff, instructors, and members are like family to me and I am so grateful to be a part of such a great community!  I'm thankful I get to work at a place that brings me so much joy and wouldn't trade it for the world!

One of the best perks of my job is teaching KM Bag Class!  You may have heard about it, read about it, saw bits and pieces of it... but if you haven't actually tried it, you are seriously missing out!  This is one of the most fun, intense, high energy, kick ass classes you will ever take!  We mix in some Krav Maga techniques... punching, kicking, elbows, knees, sprawls... with everything else you can think of that will make your body say "OMG, I am getting a killer workout!!!"  I'm talking sit-ups, lunges, push-ups, squats, burpees, pull-ups, plank, V-ups, running, Russian twists, jump-rope, mountain climbers, box jumps, wall balls, toes to bar, deck squats... I can seriously go on forever.  You not only get to work on your fight combinations and feel like a super hero badass, but you get to improve your game by doing agility, speed, high intensity, interval, and speed drills.  Your instructor will guide you so you focus your energy on giving your all on whatever the task is at hand.  You will see that results really happen when you are pushing your body further than you even thought possible... and who is there to push you?!?!... ME!  You're getting MY coaching!  You hear MY voice saying "You can do it!" "Keep going!" "Don't stop!" "Fight for it!".  Those of you who already take my class, I know you can totally see me saying all of these things!  I genuinely want all of you to be better and stronger than yesterday!

The ultimate joy comes from seeing the progress in all of my students/athletes!  Trust me, I pay attention.  I see you work hard!  I see you struggle!  I see you able to do something you weren't able to do when you first started!  Like I was saying earlier, the results really kick in when you push yourself beyond your comfort zone and I know a big part has to do with me yelling and motivating the hell out of you.  One of the best parts of my day is seeing everyone drop to the floor at the end of class! LOL  Call me crazy but it's seriously out of love!

Anyways, here's a clip from one of my classes.  I encourage you to try it out... or if you're already one of my awesome students, then I encourage you to bring a friend and spread the joy that we already have in our life!  Now go punch some bags and have an awesome day!  Kida!

KHo Fit Tip of the Day - Take the Stairs!

Okay guys, here's a simple tip you can use daily!  Take the stairs whenever possible!!!

Back in college, I remember telling this tip to Shape Magazine and they actually featured it in their magazine and gave me credit for it!  It's simple, it's a small change you can do that will affect your life, your health, your fitness in a huge way!

Just now, I came home with 5 bags of groceries!  I'm strong, I'm healthy, I can make one trip!  The thought of taking the elevator went through my mind... but then I said to myself... "Why wait for the elevator?  I can handle this!"  I took the stairs instead even with all that extra baggage!

Some of you may think I'm a little nuts but that's okay, I don't care! LOL I'm not telling you to take the stairs at the most inconvenient time... but if you're capable of it, then do it.

Everyday at work, I park on a different level... sometimes the 4th floor... but still I take the stairs!

Everyday I leave and come home, I take the stairs to my apartment!

It literally takes 30 seconds of my day to choose the stairs over the elevator!  At the end of the week, that's maybe 50 flights of stairs (and sometimes with weight LOL)... I may be lugging my heavy gym bag, purse, groceries, whatever!  It's a whole workout for some people if you think about it.

Another huge benefit... you're saving electricity!  You're helping our wonderful earth!  You're staying fit without really realizing it.  You're working out those legs.  It's easy!  Go do it!

I hope you think "KHo loves me!" next time you take the stairs! LOL  Now go have a wonderful day filled with lots of stair climbing! :)
